Questions and answers
What do you want to know?
Search directly for a term or narrow down the answers by topic.
What do I need for the first BOVOBot start?
You will need a Windows PC or Windows server, a futures unlocked KuCoin account, your own API access without withdrawal permissions and a clearly limited capital limit. Then start with a small market whitelist.
In what order should I set up BOVOBot?
Connect the desired route first. Thereafter, set capital, order size, leverage and position limit. Then choose markets and signals. Auto-Entry should only be activated if market data, route status and protection context are traceable.
Can BOVOBot run on a server?
Yes. Suitable is a Windows server with a stable Internet connection and a session through which you can control the visible interface. Operating system, time and network should be reliably maintained.
Does a database already have to exist at the first start?
No. A clean initial setup version recreates your local runtime data on first start. API accesses and trading parameters are then deliberately set up.
What is the difference between Standard Futures and Lead Trade?
Standard Futures uses regular KuCoin Futures API access. Lead Trade uses separate Lead credentials and a separate route. Positions, orders, and runtime status are handled independently for each route.
Can Standard and Lead be active at the same time?
Yes. Both routes can run in parallel when each is configured and authorized correctly. A missing Lead configuration does not block Standard Futures.
Why is Lead Trade deactivated for me?
Lead Trade is reserved for supporters. The area is only unlocked if the stored main account authorization matches the approved account. The lead key UID itself does not replace this main UID.
What Does Fixed Broker Assignment Mean at Lead Trade?
Each lead market, limit, stop and force buy order must carry the active partner and broker allocation. If BOVOBot cannot confirm this assignment, no lead order will be allowed.
Can Standard Futures continue when Lead is unavailable?
Standard Futures is technically independent. The lead area remains deactivated without blocking the regular standard route.
What KuCoin API data is needed?
A coherent API key, API secret and an API passphrase. Standard and Lead each use their own credentials.
Which API permissions should I activate?
Activate only the rights required for general data and futures trading. withdrawal permissions are not required for BOVOBot and should remain deactivated.
Are Main UID, Standard UID, and Lead UID identical?
Not mandatory. The Main Account UID describes the authorized main account. Standard and lead accesses may have other API or account contexts. BOVOBot keeps these identities separate.
Why does a connection fail despite the correct-looking key?
Common causes are an inappropriate passphrase, missing futures rights, IP restrictions or an inaccurate system time. Always check the three access values as a related set.
Can I send credentials to support?
No. Do not share API Key, Secret and Passphrase via email, chat or screenshot. For a support request, itinerary, visible status and a description without secret values.
How does BOVOBot decide to get started?
Several market and indicator conditions are merged into a SignalScore. An entry additionally requires that the market, route, capital limits, position limit and further releases fit.
What does Auto-Entry do?
Auto-Entry allows an automatic order if the configured conditions are met. The function does not change your capital budget or your whitelist and should only be activated after a controlled test.
What Does Safe Order and Protection Status Show?
It assigns intended additional or protective orders to an open position. Check the amount, symbol and actual Open Orders directly in the KuCoin account.
Is Open Orders equal to zero always critical?
No. This is only relevant if there is an open position for the same coin and the active strategy provides for a protection or recovery order there.
What are Live Test, Backtest and Learning Values?
The live test looks at current market data, the backtest historical data and learning values condense past observations. All three provide context, but no prediction or guarantee of outcome.
Can I change settings during operation?
Some settings can be adjusted, but capital or order-relevant changes should only be made with knowledge of open positions and orders. If possible, change one area after another.
Does BOVOBot guarantee profits?
No. Market movements, slippage, fees, liquidations, technical disruptions and misconfigurations can lead to losses. Automation does not eliminate these risks.
Does BOVOBot prevent any liquidation?
No. Protection and exit rules can structure risks, but an exchange can liquidate positions if margin is insufficient. Leverage and position size remain crucial.
How big should the first order be?
There is no universal value. The size must match your loss budget, leverage, position limit and reserves. Start so that you can observe the entire process without high financial pressure.
Does BOVOBot have to be monitored?
Regularly check bot status, open positions, orders and the KuCoin account. Server operation does not make ongoing control superfluous.
What costs may arise?
KuCoin trading fees, funding, slippage, server and network costs may apply regardless of the software. These costs belong in any evaluation of results.
